Linnea’s passion for continuous improvement and strategic solutions permeates her client approach. Whether designing custom training programs or supporting clients’ operational needs, Linnea’s keen awareness of the complex interplay and handoffs within a global supply chain benefit clients in significant and measurable ways. As a seasoned 30-year veteran, Linnea has saved companies millions in fines and penalties. She routinely devises approaches focused on minimizing duty outlays while complying with Customs regulations. She enjoys streamlining processes to reduce expenses while increasing global compliance. Linnea adeptly develops strategies to resolve complex compliance issues for domestic and international entities. A born-teacher, Linnea leads Braumiller Consulting’s education program by designing, developing, and presenting training on a broad range of trade topics. She also coordinates and supports the educational efforts of our extensive team of trade professionals.

Linnea’s industry credentials include being a Licensed Customs Broker, Certified US Export Compliance Officer (CUSECO), and Certified Customs Specialist (CCS). Her career path includes experience with a multi-national retailer managing global import and export operations and serving as an Empowered Official. She also has extensive experience with global brokerage and forwarding operations comprising imports, exports, information technology, logistics, warehousing, operations management, sales support, and finally serving as Regional Customs Manager for air, ocean, and courier operations.

This extensive, broad-based background includes an in-depth analysis of all trade compliance issues, including ACE, FDA regulations, FWS regulations, free trade agreements, ISA audits, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation. Adept at leveraging data to tackle large classification projects, Linnea routinely works with global product classification systems, including the HTSUS, HTSCA, ECCN, and USML. In addition, Linnea remains connected to her export roots with experience in export license application and management, deemed exports, and restricted party screenings. Finally, she has significant experience establishing, maintaining, and auditing vendor compliance programs.

Linnea holds a Masters in Legal Studies with an emphasis in Business Law and Intellectual Property from Arizona State University and is an ASU Innovator and ASU Spark certified. She also holds an MBA from Western Governor’s University in Salt Lake City, UT. She was educated at the Edinburgh Business School in Edinburgh, Scotland, and received her Masters Certificates in International Trade, Accounting, and Economics. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and History/Political Science from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, MO.
