Export Control Reform is the ongoing process of rewriting the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and the Export Administration Regulations to better define what articles and technologies are controlled, and to move many articles, especially at the part and component level, from the ITAR to the EAR. The webinar will review the changes made as a result of Export Control Reform to date and will provide examples of how the changes have affected controls and licensing.

Instructor: Bruce Leeds, Senior Of Counsel Attorney, Braumiller Law Group.

Bruce has decades of experience in international trade law and has successfully served his clients in diverse capacities, from classification and due diligence, to ITAR compliance and drawback. He has significant expertise with importing and exporting technology.

Bruce started his career as an Import Specialist and Team Leader with US Customs Service in Los Angeles. He then went to private industry, serving as Import Manager and Manager of Export/Import Operations at Hughes Aircraft. He later served in export and import compliance positions at Hughes Space & Communications Company and The Boeing Company.

Mr. Leeds graduated Cum Laude from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law and is a member of the California State Bar. He holds a customs broker license and Certified Customs Specialist designation. Bruce is a US Army veteran.
