Brandon Smith supports clients on a range of import, export and international trade compliance issues.

Career Highlights
Brandon has assisted companies in filing voluntary disclosures with Office of Foreign Asset Controls and the Bureau of Industry and Security. In addition, he has helped clients navigate various compliance issues under the NAFTA and the SEC’s conflict minerals regulations.
While in school, Brandon completed internships in compliance and regulatory law at Norton Rose Fulbright, as well as energy export policy at the Brookings Institute. Since 2015, he has taught courses in economics at Texas Christian University as an adjunct.

Brandon earned his B.A. in economics from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. He earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia and his M.A. in international affairs from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. He is an active member of the Dallas World Affairs Council and has lived and travelled throughout Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. Brandon is proficient in Spanish and is licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.
